NEW BRIGHTON CRICKET CLUB.
The second annual smoke concert of the Xew Brighton Cricket Club was held m the Pier Hail on Saturday. /Eto president Mr A W Owles, occupied the chair, and there was i good attendance of members and visitors. In congratulating the members of the club upon their play during the season i Ist Dast the president presented Mr C. Worth with a bat, the gift of Mr L. W. Hudson, to the player making the first century for the season. Mr J. Clark generously offered to make a similar gift for next year's play. During the evening the following tc*sts were honoured:— The King, "Navy ,_j Army" "Canterbury Cricket Association," "Kindred Sports," "The Ladies," "The Press " Vocal, instrumental and elocutionary items *-ere pleasingly rendered by Mr Skinner's Banjo Quintette, Mr Inkstone Mr C Cooper Mr W. P. Hopkins, Mr A. Dey, Mr J. Spence, Mr B. Webster, Allen Boon, and others.
