Uridgeman (First Lord of the Admiralty) pointed out that four large floating docks were handed over to Great Britain by Germany. One of these had been .sold and two wero being utilised at Singapore. The fourth was at present surplus and therefore, in the interests of economy, it would be sold. The question of its use in one of the English dockyards had been conf ideied, but he was of the opinion that the best thing to do was to dispose of it now. EXCHANGE OF CRUISERS. The cruiser Concord' has arrived to replace the cruiser Brisbane, the first British warship to join the Australian Naty under the exchange arrangement. During combined naval, military, and aerial operations an airplane caught fire and crashed in an unsuccessful attempt to land. The pilot was burned to death and two others were badly burned. They were sent to hospital.
