WELLINGTON, May 1. The following official bulletin was issued at 11.30 a.m. to-day:— "The Prime Minister's condition continues to give cause for grave anxiety." (SPECIAL TO "TH* fBISS.") WELLINGTON, May 1. To an enquiry made this evening, the reply was made that there was no change in the condition of Mr Massey since the issue of the midday bulletin. The following cablegram has been received from. Mr Mackenzie King, Primo Minister of Canada: —"Regret exceedingly to learn of your illness. Colleagues join me in wishing you speedy and complete restoration to healthy Kindest personal regards." "A TRUE BRITISHER." (PBES3 ASSOCIATION TILEOHAU.) INVERCARGILL, May 1. Replying to expressions of sympathy by speakers at the Monowai function to-day, the Hon. J. G. Coates stated that Mr Massey's condition waa far from satisfactory, and that he was much weaker. The Prime Minister had a broad mind and a big lieait, and lie put New Zealand first all the tinio, added Mr Coates. He appreciated their references to Mr Massey as a "true Britishev and a great Imperialist," and would convey to Mrs Massey their expressions of sympathy. At the annual meeting of the Canterbury United District A.0.F., held at Grecndale on Thursday, a resolution of sympathy with Mr Massey was adopted, several members of the Order paying tributes to the Prime Minister-'s service to the Dominion.
