NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
In our advertising columns will be found a notification respecting the dates set apart for the National Dairy Show. Following the decision made last year, the Show will last five days, and visitors will have a full programme of education and amusement provided for the whole of the time. Evening entertainments having proved so successful last year, will bo aeain amongst the attractions, and the Manawatu Rugby Union, in active co-operation with the committee, is a good indication that an attractive list of football matches will be played. The rapidlyincreasing favour in which the Show is held as being a medium for stock sales has induced the committee to introduce classes for fat sheep and cattle, the object being to work up a fat stock sale after the stock has been judged. In this instance the Auctioneers' Association has decided to give all commission earned to the funds of the A. and I\ Association, in consideration of which the ■ committee has decided not to charge the usual fees for stock sold on the grounds. The JTanawatu Poultry Association will hold its Annual Championship Show on June 17th, lStlv and 19th. Prizo schedules are available now, and may be procured from the Secretary, Box S5, Palmerston North.
