Ideal weather..' favoured tho "WaiparaOmihi Collie Dog .Trials, which were hold on Tuesday and Wednesday. There was a record number .of •entries, which were all manoeuvred without a bitch, thank 3 to the capable secretary, Mr D. G. Croft, and hi* committee. A good lunch was provided by Die local ladies, the proceeds for which are to bo devoted to t]j« Jini-ii'xlif.t Church. Tho decisions of the ju.iu-e, Mr,G. L. Rutherford, gave general satisfaction, and he was eulogised lor h!i services i>y .ice president, Mr A. Cameron, who also thanked Mr and Mrs G. B. Starky for use of grounds and sheep, and after Mr Cameron presented tho prizes, hearty, cheers were given for all helpers. Results: — CLASS N0.'1.—28 Entries. H. X.
