McConnell presiding over a good attendance of members Before the usual business of the Lodge commenced, P.G-. Bro. Jackson moved a vote of sympathy with Bro.. Eskott, and Bro. Greenslad© moved » vote of oympathv with Bro. Eosemussen, in their recent Bad ' bereavements. Correepandence was read and received from Lily of ! Sydenham Rebekah Lodge, inviting • membei-3 to a social in the Sydenham Lodge-room on May Jt.h. North Canterbury Encampment, wrote extending an invitation to the Lodge.members to a semipublic installation on May 6th,' in the Star of, Sydenham Lodge-room. Grand Lodge wrote extending thsir sympathy with Bro. Eusbridge in his'recent bereavement. It yal Waimate Lodge wrote asking'' ;he secretary to get into- touch with a niembe.- of Lodge now transferred to Chr.stchurch. Sick visitors made their reports, and Eick pay wag passed for payment. Three new members wem proposed for m mbership, and one was initiated into the crder. A hearty vote of welcome was accorded to the visitors. Broß. Thomson arid Lnine, of Washington, suitably responded.
