* INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. (BY CABLE—rUESS ASSOCIATION— COfrBIGHT.) 'AUSTBAUAN AJfD ST.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received April 29th, 9.10 p.m.) NEW YORK, April .38. A delegation of the Australian National Council of Women uudcr the chairmanship of Miss Ruby Board has arrived en route to Washington, to participate in the conference of the International Council of Women, at which forty nationalities wilt be represented. The conference will extend from May 2nd to May 10th. Tho Council meets every five years to consider international questions,, such as peace, arbitration, child welfare, female legislation, and social ethk-s. Miss Board expressed the opinion that in many social problems, Australia led the way in progressiveness, but there were somo questions on which it could learn from other countries.
