V SL.„, i§#Slp J "ROCKLAND" Superphosphate costing 7/3 produces increases worth £2 17s. per acre. Roughly a clear profit of £2 10s. per acre, due alone to "ROCKLAND"Superphosphate. On 200 acres this represents £SOO. Tnose extra bushels over and above the normal yield of wheat per acre that make all the difference to profits from wheat 'growing, can be secured by using sufficient "Rockland" Superphosphate. . While in the figures below of the Official Wheat Manure Tests for 192435, the results obtained from the application of 1 cwt. of "Rockland" Superphosphate per acre are most gratifying, it will not be long before the attention of farmers will be given to increasing the quantity applied to the acre. This contention is supported by Mr A. E. V. Richardson, Superintendent of Agriculture, Victoria, who says:— "They had tried experimental plots with I,l|, and 2 "cwt. of Superphosphate per acre, and their tests were not "only for one year, but for a ten years' period. The re- " suits proved conclusively that with proper working of "the soil, the heavier dressings were far more profitable "than light applications. Furthermore, with the heavier '' dressings the residual fertility is far greater.'' That is to say, if 1 cwt. of "Rockland" Superphosphate increases the yield 9 bushels per acre, and an additional cwt. of Superphosphate increases the yield a further 3 bushels (making the total increase due to "Rockland" Superphosphate 12 bushels), then the application of 2 cwt. of "Rockland" Superphosphate is both justified and highly profitable.
