CASUALTIES.
(«*SS ASSOCIATION TSLIOBAMB.) GISBOENE, April 28. James Knight, aged 15, was seriously gored by a bull at Bushmere. The horn penetrated his chest. He also received a gash in the thigh and internal injuries. Knight was removed to hospital in a critical condition. PALMEESTON NOETH, April 28. Clive Tweedale, aged twenty-two, who was accidentally knocked down by a taxi-cab last night, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. DUNEDIN, April 28. Douglas Mackay, aged 19 months, was sucking a chop bone, when a piece of bone broke off and choked him.

A cement road, for automobiles only, and without a speei limit, has been officially opened 1 by the King of Italy. The roads extend 30 miles from Milan* varese, and later will be extended to Lago Maggiore, near the Swiss border.
