In a collision between two tramcars bound in the same direction in Symonds street, Miss Edith Cochrane, aged 65, a passenger, while in the act of alighting from the front car, was thrown on the road. She suffered fractured ribs. The platform of the overtaking car was completely.smashed. The motorman, Author, is suffering from abrasions of the face and wrist. The other car was practically undamaged. DUNEDIN, April 27.

James Robertson, 55, residing at Port Chalmers, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, having swallowed his dental plate. He was being operated on yesterday, when ho died under the anaesthetic.
