HYDROPLANE CRASHES.
_« THREE PEOPLE KILLED. (BT CABLE—rEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIQHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND K.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.; (Received April 27th, 7.5 p.m.) PARIS, April 27. Louis Jacquard, a well-known military aviator, who was recently demobilised, purchased the Cafe Lyons in partnership with another restaurant keeper. Tlie pair purchased a hydroplane which they intended to use as an advertisement, offering a free ride to any customer who spent more than a touis.' Jacquard piloted his partner and a customer on tho first flight. When crossing the River Baone the machine nose-dived and crashed into a wall, killing all three.
