BISHOP OF CHRISTCHURCH.
APPOINTMENT IN JUNE. „ The now Bishop of Ohristchurch to talie the place of his Grace Arahbishop Julius will be appointed at the meeting of the Diocesan Synod in June. About 30 names have been discussed in connexion with the appointment, and possible candidates for the office, both in Australia and England, as well as in New Zeuland havo been written to, but no formal steps can be taken until the meeting of Synod, which will commence on Juno 9th. There will be no nomination for the office, and Synod will meet, consider the appointment and name the new bishop.
