With the retorn to Sydney of the steamer Havo, some light is thrown on the mystery which is attached to the ship, which, in February last, ignored all signals and came close inshore off Morewoather and afterwards mado off at full steam from the pilot boat.
The captain explained that he went close inshore for two reason, first because he wantto get the 6tiong southerly current prevailing 'at the time, and, secondly, because he was hoping to beat a Japaneeo steamer which etood off the coast in tlio thick of the current, and in this he succeeded. "The Haro," he added, "is not a mystery eliip in any sense of the term."
