King George aud Queeu Mary arc staying in Paris incognito at their own request, consequently 110 representative of the French Government was present at tho station when they arrived. A crowd, whieli mostly was British, cheered their Majesties upon their arrival at the British Embassy, whence thev drove to the Elysce.

King George, who is in excellent health, laid a wreath on tho tomb of tho Unknown Soldier at tho Arc dc Triomphe in the afternoon.

Their Majesties lunched with Resident Doumergue at the Palais do Elvsee. Lord and Lady Crewe, M. Hcrriott and Madamo Herriot, M. Painleve, M. Briand, M. Poincare and Madame Poincare, Marshal Joffre and Madamo Joffre. Marshal Foch, M. Jules Cambon, and M. Marcel Prevost were presentt at' the luncheon.

King George decorated M. Painleve with the Grand Cross of the Victorian Order.

A dense and enthusiastic, crowd heartily cheered King Gcorgo at tho Arc de Triomphe. A military band played an anthem as the King deposited a wreath on the tomb of t.he Unknown AYarrior. The King then stood in silence for a minute while tho band played the "Marsellaise." The King, after the ceremony, cordially shook hands with Marshal Foch and General Gourand, then drove off amid renewed cheering.

RETURN TO LONDON.

Their Majesties wero welcomed by tho Duke and Duchess of .York, Princes Henry and George, tho Princess Mary, Viscount Lasocllos, and Prince Arthur of Connaught, after which they drove to the Palacio in an opon carriage by a short route, which was lined for its entire length by multitudes of people cheering enthusiastically.
