The Chamber v6ted a credit of thirtyfive million francs as a first instalment for the building of a light cruiser, three destroyers, four torpedo-boats, and also a number of smaller craft, the keels of which will be laid this year, all forming part of a programme which the Government will shortly submit to Parliament. The work is being pushed on to avoid unemployment in the shipyards and arsenals.
