RUGBY. north canterbury subunion. A meeting of tae North Canterbury SubUnion was held at Sefton las!, week, i'resent: Messrs A. Cameron (president;, B. Henderson, Geo. Bevington, A. McNallv, J. Keeper, and A* Burke (secretary). An apolcgv was received from Mr T. Doody (Oxford). Curresixir.crenee was received from the Canterbury Kugbv Union regarding boundaries.

Permission was granted J. K. Parker to Play for Old Boys, but the application of A. M. Cook (Loburu) was refused. ■The Amberley Club applied for reinstatement, to junior grade of four of their last year's members. Three were granted and one refined.

INANGAHUA SUB-UNION. (spsciiL to "the raass.") GEEYMOUTH, April 26. There, was an attendance of six at tho | annual meeting cf the luangahua Rugby Sub-Union. Mr C. Roberts presiding. The election of Officers resulted aa follows: President, Mr C. Roberts; secretary, Mr R. L. McNabb; treasurer, Mr R. Lochoro; auditor, Mr A. Carroll; executive, the president, vice-president and secretary. Messrs Roberts and. McNabb were appointed a oom'mittee to -revise the by-laws. It was. resolved to ask clubs .to supply lists of players and' to play a senior fixture at the racecourse on May 3rd. It was resolved to take steps to procure a training hall.

BULLER RUGBY UNION. (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS;") GREYMOUTH.' April 26. .\t the iast meeting of the Buller Rugby Lnion a protest was received from Mokihinui Clnb against the referee in * senior match. It was resolved to inform the club thai the Union had confidence in its referees and would take no action. The United Club protested against Rover* playing seniors in a junior match. The protest wis upheld and United awarded the match.

The Mokihmui Club wrotf obtectin- to senior home fixtures feeing plaved on Sundays. It was resolved b inform a club that the Cnion could not pay the expenses of delegates to country clubs and to warn the Rnal Club that it must fulfil its junior engagements. It was also agreed to notify the Rival Cub that the Union supported the action of a referee who had ordered a player off for appealing.
