Last Saturday the Christehurch Sailing Club held the last of its races for the Beanland Cap, and also for the season. The wind was fresh south-weet. Five boats lined iip for the start, being- ' Fidget, • Brownie, Spray, Rata, and Redwing. The results were ae follows:—Spray, 3Jmin (H. Farr), 1; Fidget, 2nrin (E. Morrison), 2; Brownie, scr (G. Andrews), 3. Also started—Bedwing, Strain (T. Bound), and Rata, 6min (G. East). The weather conditions imposed a general wetting on all concerned. The course was twice round Skylark Island buov, and tho worst patch was • just before reacning the buoy. One boat, Redwing, ran under, but came to the surface half full. The.race finished in the above order. Spray' 3 ■win, however, does not affect the position for tho Cup. Fidget wins the Cup with 42 points, with Spray runner-up with 27. Even if Fidget had riot sailed in the race she would have won the Cup, but not by so bijj a margin.
