GIRL'S CONDITION CRITICAL. • (rKESs Associmos telzquam.) OAMAEU, April 23. Up till to-night no trace had been found of Philip Hudson, Who is supposed to have been ono of the victims of the motor accident between Kurow and Omarama on Wednesday, morning. Large numbers ,of police and detectives are on the spot, and search parties have been scouring the district. The girl victim of the accident was Operated upon this morning, but is still unconscious. She has a severe wound on tho front of her head and numerous abrasions on the body. There is just a chance of her recovery, though her condition is critical. The maiu Waitaki River is about two hundred yards from tho. spot where tho motor-ear was found, and it is thought possible that Hudson has got into the river. A good deal of mystery surrounds the case. ■
