ADDINGTON MARKET.
RECORD FAT CATTLE ENTRY.
GOOD ALL-ROUND SALE,
(JT OCB COUMZHCIAI, EDITOR.) Yesterday's entry 8t Addington was a re„J as far *& fat cattle were concerned. Fat Wp were al6o more numerously represented . fL aa a t recent sales, whilst there was a snrV- -Singly large entry of store sheep for this ' time of year. Fat sheep met with a brisk '. g,] t recording .an 'advance on -laet week, whilst fat cattie held up well until the final S {KCB. Well finished fat lambs were also in iroprwd demand. The heavy entry of i fit cattle was responsible for a record handw of in-trucks for the yards. The attendees oi farmers was much smaller than mil STORE SHEEP. Tie yarding was surprisingly large, almost »I 1 tbe' available accommodation being taken B n. The *atry included a number of sheep from the north, which had been held by. dealers, the majority being failing-mouthed •nd'old ewes. The entry included consignments from the West Coast and 'Ota'jjo. There- was a small proportion of breeding e»os| and there was good competition for the test sheep. The more forward of the Jambs m»de. slightly better prices oyer' tho. oailier stages, whilst wethers sold freely. Later jn the'day the only outstanding variation IB the salo was that lambs below medium qualitT did not soil briskly and there wag a tendency to weaken. This class sold at about ono shil'ing a. head below figures of i J»st week. Early in the afternoon wethers f wcro slightly erratic, but generally the mari ket hold up well.
