CROQUET.
LITTLE RIVER CLUB. A meeting of the Little River Croquet Club was held in the Coronation Library on Tuesday. Present—Mrs Palmer, Mrs MacPhorson, Mrs March, Mrs H. Giddens, Mr H Giddens, Mr W. Lewthwaite. It was reported that the croquat lawn was under water during the recent floods, and has from a foot to eighteen inches of silt on it. It would be impossible to finish tho tournaments, as it will be unplayable till next season. Mrs J. F. , Buchanan had kindly offered tho use of her lawn at Kinloch to finish tho tournaments. Arrangements were made for the finals, which take place at Kinloch, starting on Monday at 0 a.m.
