BROKERS GOING ON STRIKE,

(bt cable— razss association—copyright.) IAUSTEALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.)

HOME, April 20,

Brokers on the Italian Stock Exchanges are striking as a result of Signor Bonito Mussolini's efforts to stop exaggeration in speculation. The Government's decrees have resulted in huge losses being made <n the Bourses, and Italian industrial stocks have fallen 25 to 35 per cent, during the month. The Fascist Press is attacking the stockbrokers, but the' Conservatives declare that the decrees are the most unwise yet issued. The real cause of the strike is that the Government requires a deposit of 25 per centum on all Stock Exchange time operations.
