BREACHES OF NEW BY-LAWS

' In defianco of the City Council's new by-ljw, which "prohibits. motor-Mses in Qaefen street, and which came into force to-day, practically all vehicles owned by the various private companies continued throughout the day to ply for hire within the prohibited area. ' The main street presented its usual ' congested scene, with buses running up < aka down, the only vehioles that were . mlMing being the City Council b own conveyances and a few others which lU' trom their new terminii.
