SUMMIT ROAD.
MEETING OF BOARD. A meeting of the Summit Road Board was held yesterday, when there were present:—Messrs G. H. Billiard (chairman), and W. H. Machin, Geo. Harper, W. Keece, H. G. Ell, and A. R. Y. Morton. The meeting was to have been the annual one, but it wag reported that the balancesheet had not been audited by the Government auditor, consequently it would ,be necessary to adjourn the meeting until a later date. This course was agreed to, and it was decided that the annual report, which was not a very comprehensive one, should be amplified before being submitted for adoption. Mr Machin brought up the question of Mr R. Maloolm's name being removed from the list of members of the Board during his absenoe from the Dominion without that gentleman's knowledge, and' moved a motion to the effect that the authorities in W ellmgton be written to requesting them to reinstate Mr Malcolm. « i '■, « The chairman stated that the jjead office had complained that there were t<jo : many members on the Board, and it was because of this complaint that Mr Malcolm s name was removed. , Mr Machin stated that there wero several members of the Board who had not been such regular attendere a3 Mr Malcolm, who had always taken a keen interest m Board's business. , Mr Harper seconded the motion. The chairman said that he thought Mbe matter could be held, over to be aealt. with at the annual meeting, and the mattei was allowed to drop.
