As the Tesult of a lawsuit which has been proceeding for 300 rears in Prague, the standing timber on a great stretch of forest land formerly claimed by the Schoenborn family of Velke Luckv is to be sold by auction for the benefit of the Ruthenian peasants of the district. The case against the Schoenborns (which was based on certain privileges claimed by tho original plaintiffs as "frcecf men") has now been settled* by a compromise, the "freed men" beinrr awarded some 4000 acres of the forests claimed.
