The annual meeting of householders for the Horsley Downs school dißtnct will be held in the Public Hall, Hawarden, on Monday evening next. ' '' _ The secondary and commercial departments of the Sacred Heart Girls' CoUego have re-opened and boarders and day pupils are requested to commence attendance immemeetin" of the Home Economics Association will be held in* the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Friday next. Nominations for the Council of the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society must be in the hands of the secretary not later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday next. _ The "W.E.A. drama class will not he held to-night owing to the indisposition of the tutor. On Saturday • evening Mr. E. J. Howard, M.P., will lecture, on the Zimbabwe Christchurch Jazz Club will hold its opening night in the Winter Gardens on meeting of the N.Z. Food..Reform and Anti-Cancer League will be held in the Jellicoe Hall to-morrow night, when a farewell will be tendered to Dr. Thacker. The opening of the' 1925 session of the Canterbury Advertising Club will "be held in the Chamber of Commerce to-morTow at 8 p.m. . A poll of electors of the Borough • of Bangiora will be held on April 29th in connexion with the statutory half-holiday.
