Inter-Island Parcels Service. Owing to the inter-isjand parcels service which will shortly' be .' imiugurated , by 'the. Railway Department, cne of the largest carrying firms in New Zealand intends closing down its branch at Lytteltoa. A Busy Waterfront. Yesterday was a busy day on the waterfront—in fact, work in the port na£ been brisk for some weeks, and-seems likely to continue so .for. the next week or so.. There, were 17 -vessels in port yesterday, including five overseas steamers. One overseas vessel sailed, but another is duo to-day to take her,.place...
