Looking hale and hearty after another tour abroad, Archbishop Redwood Stepped off the San Francisco mail boat to-day and proceeded to hie home in Hill Btreet. He haa been away for six months, and was accompanied. by the Rev. Father Smyth. During his travels in the various countries he visited, he met all the principal personages of the Church, including Cardinal Mundelin (Chicago) «md the Archbishop of New York, with whom he dined. When the Legate who presided, announced that Archbishop Redwood was the oldest Bishop in the world by consecration, and that he had com© from the Antipodes to attend the Congress, the gathering of 21,000 people arose and gave him a great ovation, which was repeated) at the conclusion of the Congress. A visit to France was then paid by the Archbishop, and he had a most pleasant and interesting interview with tho Cardinal Archbishop of P a ™' . „ . „ "I was a fortnight m Rome in October " said Archbishop Redwood, "'and was aiven a wonderful reception by the Holv Father. Ho looked like a man Archbishop Redwood returned to New York in the Aquitania, and went through America in ueautifu.l weather, visiting Niagara and the Grand Canyon of 'Colorado on his way to San Francisco. The return trip across the Pacific was most pleasant, there not being one rough day.
