® —4 The Canterbury Bantam Club met last ni"ht, llr J. D - Gobbe presiding over a fiiW-sr' laree attendance. A motion expressing tho club's sympathy with Mr A. R- Pengelly in the death of his wife was carried, members standing. Mr J. LiRSi na WTote accepting the position of sub-patron of tho club and forwarding a cheque for oi !f " U ' nea " , . , Mr Arthur Gapes wrote thanking the club for electing him a sub-patron and accepting the position. The chairman reported on the annual meeting of the South Island Poultry Association, held in Oamaru last week. Mr F Dacre gave an interesting address on Rose Comb and Pekin Bantams. He was 'accorded a vote of thanks.
