RAMA ABANDONED
APPEARS TO BE TOTAL LOSS,
(BPBCIAt, TO "TEZ PB9SS.") WELLINGTON, November 22. The Adting-Secrotary of the General Poßt Office (Mr G. McNawara) has received the following messago from the postmaster, Chatham Islands: — "Bama abandoned early Friday morning; crew all safe. Wind now changed to south-west, and scaa breaking over vessel, which appears to be a total loss.'' The Anchor Compauy's Gtcamer Kaitoa is to leavo Nelson on Monday and Wellington on Tuesday or Wednesday for the Chatham Islands to bring back the crew of the Bama. They should arrive in Wellington on Saturday evening next. Particulars of the insuranco on the Bama, which provides against total loss, are not available.
