CONDITIONS 1 The Competition Is organised by the National Institute for the Blind (Registered under the ' Blind Persons Act, 1920), which has appointed Messrs. Jackson, Pixley & Company, Chartered Accountants, 58 Coleman Street, E.C.2, to audit the Accounts. The whole of the proceeds (after payment of the prize fund and expenses) will be administered to assist Blind Charities 'throughout the Country. All Blind Charities which are registered under the Blind Persons Act, 1920, will be invited by the National Institute .to participate in the proceeds of the 2 < The P Honorary Treasurer of the Competition Fund, is Mr. G. F. Mowatt, J.P., Honorary Treasurer of the Institute, and the Standing Committee of the National Institute has appointed a special Management Committee to supervise the working of the Competition. The Bankers to the Competition Funds are the Westminster Bank Limited, 154 Harley Street, London, W. s Competitors are required to select from the list supplied of fifteen important industries the ten which they consider the general public regard as having proved the most beneficial to the populace of the British Empire, and then to enter them in order of merit in the spaces provided on the face of the ticket. . .. . ~. - i The order of merit of the respective industries will be decided on theivotes of the Competitors themselves. The industry which most Competitors put first will be deemed most beneficial, and of the remaining industries that which most Competitors put first or second will be deemed the second most beneficial; and then of those still remaining the industry which most Competitors put first, second or third, will be deemed the third most beneficial; and < The firat Prize of £SOOO will be awarded to the Competitor whose ticket shall be adjudged to correspond most nearly to the general vote of all Competitors. The second Prize wilKbe •awarded to the sender of the next most accurate ticket and so on with the remaining prizes. 6 The adjudication of the Competition will be undertaken by the aforementioned Management ' Committee who will appoint the Accounting and Tabulating Corporation of Great Britain Ltd of 47 Southampton Buildings, London, W.C. 2, to do the technical part of the work. 1 The Committee will have the right to disqualify any Competitors for any reasons which they mav consider good and sufficient, and their decision shall be finally and legally binding upon all Competitors. When the Counting has been completed and the numbers of the Winning Tickets ascertained the Committee will notify the Standing Committee of the National Institute for the BHnd and invite all the members of such Committee to be present, when the original tickets showing the names and addresses of the Prizewinners will be extracted in the presence of at least three members of such Committee, and the names of those present will be announced „ date of the competition will be published in the Press. Proof of posting cannot * be accepted as proof of delivery, and no responsibility can be taken for Tickets lost in the post or otherwise. These forms become valid tickets when accompanied by a Postal Order for 2/6.
