On' Saturday, the' first contest for the Dewar Shield was held before a large attendance. ""There -were close and exciting finishes. The shield'was won. by: Wellington with 36 points,' Athletic 33 points," being second, and Hut't Valley 25 points third. Good times were Recorded but no records were broken.
