The other day (relates an exchange) a bushman visited a restaurant in one of the progressive King Country towns for the purpose of having' a meal,, and after perusing the menu ordered poached eqgs. The -waitress immediately asked if he would like them on toast: "Oh, all right," said the bushman, "toast .will do if you haven't got a plate!"
