FLOWER SHOW.
ST. DAVID'S, SYDENHAM.
Gaiety prevailed at the annual flower nlicw apd garfen fote held in connexion Willi St. Savid'o _ Presbyterian Church, Colombo (street* Sydenham, and opened on the Church .oh Saturday afternoon. ■*rher& was a very largo attendance at both Mtotnoon and evening sessions. Tho flower show easily eclipsed the one held laat year in tlifl number of entries, and in the quality of the blooms. The prize for tho preraior bloom, in the. show went to Mrs Stephons. The entries in tho cookery said vegetable classes were good, and tho majority of the exhibits were well up to the standard of' previous years.
In addition to the flower show and other exhibits, there were a number of attractively decorated stalls. which did good business. Throughout the day music was played by the Y.M.C.A. Otchfeetra.
