CHARGE OF ASSAULT ON HIGH SEAS.
♦ (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEQBAM.) NAPIER, Novomber 23. Thomas Leonard Jordan, trimmer on the steamer Waikawa, appeared at the Magistrate's Court on a charge of assaulting Robert Johnson, fireman, on November 6th, on the •voyage between San Francisco and Napier, ■with intent to cause actual bodily harm. He was committed for- trial. • Johnson is an inmate of the -Napier Hospital, suffering from injuries to his right eyc„ which will, probably bo permanent.
