NEW SLEEPING CARS. (special to "the press.") WELLINGTON, November 21. When the development of the tourist traffie was under discussion at tho annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce at Wanganui, Mr D. Rodic, commercial manager for tho Railway Department, gave the delegates particulars of Departmental assistance. He said that he had been advised by the manager of the Tourist Department that it was intended to rebuild the Blue Bath at Rotorua, and to provide additional accommodation ; at Waitomo and at the Hermitage. The Railway Department was building new sleeping cars of an improved model, with additional comforts, including more comfortable beds. (Delegates: Hear, hear.) Mr Rodic said an extra and faster express was to be run between Auckland and Wellington. If a day trip were decided upon an observation car would be provided, and iif it was to be a night trip there would bo more sleeping accommodation.
