■At the monthly meeting of tie Waltham School Comraittco there were present: Messrs J. Shier (chairman), Langley, Marsdcn, Symons, Hayward, Gray, and. Smith. An apology for non-attendance was received from Mr A. Turner. The headmaster reported, tho roll number at October 31at to be 670, and the average attendance KM. It was agreed to erect a gate at'the Thackeray street frontage of the boys' playground, md to hold a children's fancy cLreas ball ta November 27th. The arranging of the hall was left in the hands of Mr Langley. The secretary ws instructed to write to the Board asking it to snKmit a. report on the wiiatows, ventilation. and blinds in the school. Correspondence was received from the Board etaUns that it had been decided to snppty *• blind for a. skylight in ono room.
