Chief-Detective Cummings said that during the year ended July 31, 1924, goods valued at £10,021 j had been stolen, from Union Company and New Zealand Shipping Company vessels. ■ Mr Poynfcon said that accusedfor two years, had been either broaching cargo or helping to and stealing portions of it.
