Court Edward Harrison, for-the theft of eight opossum. skins from the cargo of tho steamer Turakina, was sentenced to 21 days? imprisonment. AUCKLAND, November 21. A v.atersidc worker named Harold. Cyril Howe Francis, for pillaging cargo, was sentenced to eix months' imprisonment. Chief-Detective Cummings said that during the year ended July 31, 1924, goods valued at £10,021 j had been stolen, from Union Company and New Zealand Shipping Company vessels. ■ Mr Poynfcon said that accusedfor two years, had been either broaching cargo or helping to and stealing portions of it.
