NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
A large fair will bo held in the Somerfield School grounds,- Somerfield street,- this afternoon, commencing at 2.30 o'clock. A dance will be held in the evening. Th®, last of the present series of play and poetry readings will he held in the Cafe taria, High street, on Tuesday. A jumble sale will be held in St. Mary's Schoolroom, Park road, this afternoon. There will be a jumble sal© in the Avonside . Schoolroom to-dny. To-morrow the claims of Prohibition will be urged in Durham street Metnodist Church. In the evening Mr C. H. Poole will give the address. The choir v/ill sing "The l>ay is ■ Past and Over." A sa 1 e of work and shop-., day will be held in the Sunday Sohool, Fendalton, on Saturday week, 29th. .inst., commencing at 2 o'clock. . A Christmas fair and. garden party will be held in .the Technical College Girls' Training Hostel grounds, Ensor's road, to-day,--in aid of tbe funds- of the Technical College Old Boys' Memorial. To-morrov;, at "Wesley Church, Fitzgerald avenue, : the preacher at the morning service will be the Rev. James Guy. At the evening service the Rev..B. D. Patchett will .preach on "H iddcii Faults -and Secret Sins/'
