ANNUAL MEETING. The second annual meeting of &• St. Cocilia Choi* (incorporated), was held last night Mr A. MoClure presiding over an attendance of about fifty. The president, Mr W MoGruer, seat an apology for absence. Th o annual repdrt stated that tbo present position of the organisation was encouraging - The greatest amount of success *wa« due to tho capable conductor, Mr Sidney William- „! X had had a difficult ta*V. There were 90 subscribing and 63 bar* on the renter. Thw* hundred sub. scribing *** 100 performing members would ensure tho future success of tho society, and be more in keeping with tho population of Chrifitohurch. Thro* choir concerts had bean aiven since March, and in addition a benefit oonoert in aid <rf Caihmero Sanafaaram funda had resulted in #0 being raised. Tho bal-ance-sheet showed that after » atN»MU year there was a credit of #& 18s 3d. Tho election of officers resulted:—Preaident Mr C. Scton-Kella*ay; vice-presidents, Dr Pairman, Dr. T. I*. Crooke, Dr. John Guthrie, Mrs W. E. Caioy, Mrs A. Forrester Messrs B. Twynehdm, L. Fleming, E. C. 'Zimmerman, J. G-. Armstrong, C. Hunter A. Dey, B. B. ForsyiUi, H. Hayman, K. Wright, W. J. W. Neate; honorary secretary Mrs B. B. Forsyth; committee, Meadam'os A. McClure, Counter, H. Haynoan, J m Robinson, T. C. Pugh, R. M. Donaldson T. H. Upton, S. G. Mallard, and A. Dey Mi£3 M. Dini, and Mr A, McClare. On the motion of Mr Williamson, the following resolution was carried:—"TJsat ior the purpose of fostering (the interests of tho Choir, «nd creating a. good supply for adult membership, a Juvenile Section be organised, tho subscription to bo So per annum, with the same privileges as adult members. The a<*e to be from IS to 17 years, after ■which such juvenile members are to be regarded as adult members." A social evening was held at the concluejon of the Meeting. Mr Sidney Williamson presented Mr A. jfcCluro with, an easy chair, as the Society's mark of recognition of his services aa chairman.
