COURT STAR OF CANTERBURY.
The fortnightly mcsting of the Court Star of Canterbury No. 2309, Ancient Order of Foresters, was held in the Foresters' Hall, Oxford' terrace, oil Monday. There was a large attendance of members present. Chief Ennger, Bro. A; Largo, presided. A letter was received from the secretary of the TJ.F.S., Benevolent Association regarding the friendly societies' .church parade at John's Church, : .Woo:st:>n, o« Sunday afternoon, November 30th. It was decided that the court could - not take any active part in the parade, but that members would attend if they desired. -A letter was received from the St. Alboiy, .Children's Playground Committee asking- 'the lodge to provide a tableau for the procession on November 22nd, but it was regretted that the court was unable to provide, any tableau owin? to members being otherwise, engaged on that date. It was decided- that the matter of new members' contributions .be 'referred : ;to the. Jlanagemont Committee at its next meeting. The'accounts for. district delegates' expanses for the last district meeting held ; at Bangiora was passed for paymont. One new member was initiated into fhe order during the evening by the Chief ■Banger, assisted by Brp. 0.. Jacobsen, P.D.C.B. . .
