CYCLE SPORTS AT ENGLISH PARK.
On account of the weather, the big cycling carnival to have been held at English Park last night was ■ postponed- until to-night, when (weather permitting) the full programme will be carried out. The entries include all tho speed kings available in Christchurch, and training operations during the last lew day 3. point to some surprises coming along shortly. Thero 13 no form cf outdoor sport more exciting than night cycle racing. All over the Continent, America, and Australia thousands .go every night to see it.. To-night's programme is a good one. The fivc-nule scratch race alone is wor,th going to see. The first race starts at 8 o clock and the prugramme finishes at 10. An assured tram service both ways and alsa an assured ceat should (satisfy, patrons. .
