A ballot held for the election of officers for the Dannevirke, Kaeing Club —consequent upon the recent resignations at the request of a special meeting of members —resulted in, the former treasurer and nine of the old committee, of t\relve being re-elected, the malcontents having, it is claimed, achieved their object. Mr J. A. Wilkinson, accountant in the Public Works Department, has returned from an eight months' trip to Great Britain and the Continent, including a tour of tho battlefields in Franco and Belgium.
