EXTRA RACING PERMITS.

MINISTER'S TOUR OF INVESTIGATION.

(8?50UI. TO "THE P8I8S.") WELLINGTON, November IS. The Minister of Internal Affairs is giving considerable thought to the distribution of the 31 extra racing permits, for which there are so many applications. The Minister is empowered to grant twelve more days to racing clubs, and nineteen to trotting club 3, but before coming to a decision he intends to inspect various districts of the Dominion to satisfy himself as to What should be dono. Mr Bollard will leave for the Auckland district shortly to inspect racecourses there, and will later on proceed to the South Island. Probably a decision will not be arrived at until some time in December.
