The manure was applied at the rate of H to li cwt. per acre, with the following results : Average weight, no manures' tons per acre. Average weight WITH manure—--9f tons per acre. Tops on unmanured plots were not worth calculating. Tops on plots WITH manure—--1 ton 12 cwt. per acre. The feed would bo?— No manure, 3$ tons per aero; With manure, 11 tons 7 owt. per acre. Calculate the carrying capacities of these crops at sheep per acre per annum and you get:— Without manure—--1 sheep per acre per annum.
