THE EX-KAISER.
MOVE TO DISCREDIT. OLD LETTERS PUBLISHED. (BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT; (AUSTRALIAN' A.VD K.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received November 17th, 8.40 p.m.) BERLIN, November 16. On the eve of the election, Heri Wolff, editor of the "Tageblatt," has published a remarkable scries of letters, intended to give the coup-de-jjracc to attempts to re-establish the reputation of the ex-Kaiser. The letters include one from the Kaiser to Prince Bulow after the breakdown of attempts at a Russian alliance in 1905. The letter beseeches Prince Bulow not to resign, "or ] shall be made a laughing-stock for al! time." The letter concludes jvith a threat of suicide, the Kaiser adding: "Think of my poor wife and children.'.' [Prince Bulow was Chancellor of the Empire, and so at the head of the Government, when the Kaiser wrote to him.]
