RANNERDALE GARDEN FETE.
The fourth annual garden party, to be held next Saturday, 22nd inst., at the Bannerdaie Home, 439 Papanui road, promises to be an unqualified, success. The funds, as usual, are to be devoted to sending the patients to the seaside for two months. Suitable houses have been procured on the Sumner Esplanade. The committee are doing their utmost to make the garden party .'i success, and it is hoped that the public will not forget that the Rannerdale Fete will be open on Saturday, 32nd. An excellent band will give their services and there will be tea, cakes, ice cream, strawberries, books, flowers, produce, etc., and several fortune tellers. Many generous donations of money and goods havo already been received from friends. In, past ye;u's the soldier patients have derived so much pleasure and benefit from their sojourn by the sea that it is hoped that the proceeds raised; thi9 year will enable them to again spend a holiday of several weeks' duration.
