The meeting at Ashhurst is to be held to-morrow, and among the acceptors are Bitters, b'tream, Gardant, and La Reve, who raced at Riccarton last week. On their form here none of them looks a really good prospect at the northern fixture, but Gardant, with 6st 121b in the Siberia Hack Handicap, if her recent racing has benefitted her at all, should be prominent at the finish. L'Amour, the Kilbroney—Love-a-Duck gelding who looked like turning out very useful when racing as a four-year-old and in the early part of last season, is in the Ashhurst Cap at 7st 61b. In his last start he finished third in the Maungaraki Welter at Carterton, to Happy Days and Kilceit. There is another three furlongs to he covered t<>morr6w, and L'Amour is meeting Happy Days on only lib better 'terms..
