MATSON AND CO.'S HORSE SALE.

For Messrs H. Matson and Company's annual horse sale held yesterday, the entries comprised 100, of which 90 represented horses and the balance vehicles. There was a large attendance of the public, and while a great portion of the entry represented trotting stock and some young horses and trackwearied exhibits, there was also a good percentage of useful hacks, cobs, and harness horses offered, which found buyers. The sale throughout was undoubtedly a good one. and 65 horses found buyers. The larger stationholder who has given up breeding horses bought attractive hacks from four to six years old, and this considerably helped the weaker portion of the saie.
