-^L_« ■ it. (PRESS ASSOCIiTIOST TEWSGIUMS.) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 15. L. S. Hart, the victim of tho accident at Waipuku last Bight, died in the hospital at about midnight. The accident occurred at the Rutland road crossing, .a little south of Waipuku. Hart was driving a car from Eutland road on to tho main .road when it was struck by tho mail train. Hart wag a ; contractor, AUCKLAND,, November 15. : The city and suburban tramway service came to a complete stoppage for half-an-hour this morning through C. (r. Barton, one of the construction staff, instead of drawing a blown fuse, drawing a circuit that was alive. He drew a big arc of fire, and was very badly burned about the face and hands. DUNEDIN, November 16. John Alexander Hall Anderson, single, 'sl, was admitted to the Dnnedin Hospital on Friday evening, suffering severe abdominal pains. He was operated on last night, and died during the operation. At the inquest held this afternoon the Coroner found that death was due to gangrene and obstruction of the bowels. The little daughter of Mr James Doak, of Cust, accidentally fell into a water tank early yesterday morning, and was discovered by a neighbour's child in an unconscious condition. Dr. Allen wag summoned, and ho ordered tho child's removal to the Ohristehurch Hospital. On the way to Ohristehurch the car skidded at the corner of King street and the South Belt, Eangiora. The occupants of the car, Mr E. Elliott and Mr and Mrs Doak. -were uninjured. Mr C. Tyler took the parents and the child ou in another car. o<i enquiry at the. Hospital last night it was found that the little girl was progressing favourably.
