PIGEON FLYING.
The Canterbury Pigeon Flying Club flaw their first Martoh race recently. Seventy-three birds were sent, divided amongst 19 owners. The birds were libera'ied by the stationmastex at 7.30 a.m. in fine weather, which.enabled the members .to time in on day of liberation. Th© winning bird, Slow Coach, owned By'Mr G. Green, flew (the distance of 284 miles 697 yards in the good time of 7 hours 26 minutes 45 seconds, leading, the second bird by nearly 2 hours. The following ■ aro 'th© results:— .;" " -' ...
